Navigating teen-hood is not always easy. emPowered by Beauty teen Program is born from my many years of working with teens as the head makeup artist for the worlds most popular teen show Degrassi. The program is focused on building a healthy relationship with your inner and outer image. We lead our teens on a learning journey that includes skincare, makeup and hygiene, but also focuses on being your most authentic outstanding self, being empowered. Our program is run successfully as an afterschool program or as a summer camp!

Artistic. Flawless. Dedicated. These are three themes that Jessica Carter has lived by during her illustrious career as a makeup artist. Throughout the decades, her interpretations of beauty have graced film and television screens - as well as fashion magazines and newspapers, around the world.
Carter has painted the faces of some of the biggest names in entertainment including Drake, Nina Dobrev, Gregory Hines, Vincent D’ Onofrio, Sheane Grimes, Mark Anthony, Kevin Smith and Keke Palmer - to name just a few. Carter has also created the looks for multiple award-winning television shows including Degrassi, Instant Star, The L.A Complex, How to be Indie and Spun Out. On each series, she has delivered work that was trendsetting and outstanding.
Carter has taken her years of talent as one of the industries most sought after artists and turned her passion for beauty into a passion for making the world a better place for women. In 2013 Carter travelled to Ghana and taught a group of young women how to be make-up artist! This changed the world for the participants and for Carter. In early 2017 EmpoweredbyBeauty.org was created to provide low-income or marginalized women in Panama, Ghana and Toronto the opportunity to learn the skill of makeup artistry without cost to them.
